We will work with you to analyze your power needs and recommend the appropriate Cummins engine to provide optimum equipment performance while meeting strict CARB and US EPA emissions requirements. Our engineering support includes:

  • Global Customer Engineering web site with access to drawings, data sheets, diagrams, and application engineering bulletins
  • Designed "Plug and Play" wiring harness for ease of electronics
  • Custom engine configuration design
  • Unique software design using Cummins PowerMatch software
  • Design review and component specification of all installation systems with Cummins Advisor Software

Engine Repowers
Cummins Cal Pacific has engineering experts on staff to analyze the feasibility of repowering your equipment with either new Cummins or genuine ReCon remanufactured engines. We will work with you to assess your equipment and recommend the appropriate engine to provide optimum equipment performance while meeting applicable CARB and US EPA emissions requirements. You can extend the life of your existing equipment by repowering with a new, current emission, Cummins engine. In some cases you may be eligible for government funding to help pay for the repower. For the most effective emissions reductions, you should consider having us integrate a CARB verified Level 3 Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) retrofit that meets BACT into your Tier 3 repower to reduce PM emissions.

Tier 4 interim engines will start to be available starting in 2011 for engines ranging from 175 to 750 Hp, and in 2012 for engines in the 75 to 175 Hp range. Tier 4 interim and final engines may have various emission reduction technologies including improved fueling or injection strategies, EGR, Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).
